Dr. Wael Hassan

Dr. Hassan was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, where he earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Cairo University. His passion for learning and advancing dental science led him to be awarded the prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, allowing him to join a research team at Okayama University investigating the link between gum disease and overall health. He later received his PhD in Periodontal Sciences.

Although he enjoyed his time in academia, Dr. Hassan realized that his true passion was working directly with patients. He moved to Canada to pursue clinical dentistry and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry, one of North America’s oldest and most respected dental schools. Dr. Hassan is board certified in both Canada and the United States, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards.

Dr. Hassan loves building lasting relationships with his patients and believes that great dental care starts with listening. He takes the time to understand each person’s concerns, answer questions, and help patients feel comfortable and confident about their treatment. He also enjoys educating patients on how they can improve and maintain their oral health so they can enjoy healthy smiles for years to come.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Hassan loves traveling, taking road trips, discovering international cuisines, and learning about different cultures. He’s also currently learning Spanish—one word at a time!
